| CHARACHTER Regina Regina is living at the replacement home department of the Taheva Sanatorium Foundation since 09.07.2007. Her younger brother Toomas Abel is living at the same replacement home since 17.09.2007. Regina is studying in the 7th grade of the School. She graduated 6th grade with excellent behavior. Estonian language, Russian language and math were graded satisfactory, other subjects resulted in good and very good grades. Regina had problems getting used to the replacement home at first. She ran away often and lied but in time she adapted very well. Regina is an active, joyful, talkative and laborious girl. She likes physical work (weeding the flowerbeds, raking leaves, washing dishes). Sometimes Regina needs help with her studies. She is always interested in new activities, she also likes to take part of different camps. Regina loves to walk outside, spend time with her girlfriends, swim and ride a bike. Regina sometimes needs to be reminded of keeping her room and things in order and taking care of her personal hygiene and she might need guidance in those areas. She is able to work with the washing machine and she is also able to make some simple dishes. Regina is mostly looking for someone who would care about her a lot – a mother and a father, in other words her very own family. Regina wishes to be and stay together with her brother Toomas. |
| CHARACHTER TOOMAS Toomas is living at the replacement home departement of the Taheva Sanatorium Foundation since 17.09.2007. His sister Regina Abel is living at the same replacement home from 07.07.2007. Toomas is studying in a special class on the 3rd grade level of the School. He has received one year school extension. Toomas is a boy with a severe mental disability. He has trouble expressing himself and needs time to think in order to give answers to questions. Toomas’s mental abilities are lower than would be appropriate for his age. Toomas is fidget, has little self-control, needs to be observed and guided constantly. Toomas is mostly in a good mood and friendly. He has insufficient understanding about his personal data in a certain time and situation. Physically Toomas is of small height, his overall motorics is satisfactory. Toomas is a very active boy who likes to run around and play. He likes games with movements and also likes to put together puzzles. Toomas is able to take care of his hygiene but needs help washing his head. He does not need any assistantce while eating and is able to make sandwiches himself. Toomas needs guidance in cleaning and organizing his room. When being assisted Toomas is able to organize his closet and wash the floors. |
