Step by Step Process of Referrals:
1) View list of waiting children
2) Go to this page to download our Privacy Declaration and fax it to Adoption Hope. Also review
Adoption Hope's Information Packet.
3) Receive login information to view photos and medical information on children available.
4) Request video(s) of child/children you are interested in adopting.
5) Remain in contact with Adoption Hope to discuss the documents needed to continue your adoption
journey, including filling out the Adoption Application, compiling your dossier to be sent to the child's
country, etc.
Status on our waiting children is only changed when we are given permission and updates from Adoption
Hope. In order for a child to be "on hold" for a family, the family must have a completed home study and
USCIS approval (form I-797C, formerly known as form I-171H).
Availability Status on the Waiting Children pages will be one of the following:
Available - Means that the child is not matched to a family yet, as far as we are aware. It is always best to
check with Adoption Hope International, before you are firmly attached to a child's picture. The status
can change suddenly. A family may be inquiring about the child, but may not have submitted paperwork
to place the child on hold.
Administrative Hold - Means that the child, or any number of children in a sibling group, may not be
legally free for adoption yet.
On Hold/Family planning to preview/Family working on dossier - Means that a family has
chosen the child and are in the process of adopting them.
Placed - Means that the parents have submitted their complete apostilled dossier to the agency and
USCIS approval, paid their non-refundable application fee, and have previewed the child.
