Dossier Requirements:
Document list for adoption in Queretaro, Mexico.
1.- A Letter manifesting your intent to adopt, saying the sex and age of the minor you
wish to adopt.
2.- Two recommendation letters of people who know the applicants, of which shall
include address and telephone number of the people recommending them. In case
The applicants are married; the letter will refer to their marriage.
3.- Eight color photographs of each of the rooms in your home and eight photographs
of family reunions.
4.- Two passport size pictures of each applicant.
5.- Health certificate for each applicant stating good health.
6.- Verification of income, specifying position, seniority and salary, or document that
shows the income that the applicants receive (Tax returns, mortgage deeds, etc.)
7.- Certified birth certificates of each applicant,
8.- Marriage certificate
9.- Residency certification (a letter from the county or municipality stating you have
lived in or owned that property for x amount of time)
10.- Letter of no criminal history
11.- Certified copy of identification for each applicant
12.- Homestudy (done by a licensed SW, or government authorized agency), translated
to Spanish, legalized and Apostilled.
13.- Psychological evaluation, legalized and apostilled
14.- USCIS approval
15.- a letter stating your commitment to foster your child/children a minimum of one
week and a maximum of three weeks in the city where the child is located, which
will take place before the judicial process of the adoption.
